”Stadt, Land, Fluss“* is a photographic journey through Germany and the result of an internal debate between a romantic feeling of nostalgia and a factual interest in the history of my own country. This has led me to explore numerous places around Germany, searching for traces of its past and former visions of its future. I found myself fascinated with both the critical, dialectical thinking of the 1920s and the Romantic’s mythical idealization of Germany and the idea of home.

*translates to ”City, Land, River“ in English; a German quiz game about geography
